Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV), also known as Hot Press printing, is a decoration process that applies logos, lettering and graphic elements to textiles using specially manufactured heat transfer films. The design is precision-cut from vinyl, excess material is removed, and the graphic is permanently bonded to the garment using heat and pressure.
The technology is ideal for T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, workwear, corporate uniforms, sportswear, tote bags, aprons, caps and many other textile products. It is particularly suitable for small production runs, personalisation and designs with clean, sharp contours.

Multiple film types and colours can be combined within a single design. For example, standard coloured vinyl can be combined with metallic, glitter or fluorescent films to create unique visual effects.
Application suitability depends on the fabric composition, heat resistance, surface texture and garment construction. The best results are achieved on cotton, polyester and blended fabrics with smooth surfaces. Special heat transfer films are also available for stretch fabrics, water-resistant materials and other demanding applications.
The price depends on the design size, number of colours and layers, selected film type, cutting complexity, quantity of garments and number of print locations. Designs with many small details require additional cutting and manual weeding time.
